Hudson M. Whitney

I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Florida preparing for a career at the forefront of artificial intelligence and the law. By combining software engineering, computational linguistics, and legal scholarship, I bring a technical perspective to some of the most pressing legal and societal challenges posed by emerging technologies. Whether building AI systems, conducting research, or writing about the future of work, I'm driven by the belief that innovation should serve people—not the other way around.

My background in software engineering and AI provides the technical foundation for my legal interests. I have experience developing full-stack applications, AI-powered tools, and cloud-based systems while contributing to computational linguistics research through the University of Florida's MELD Lab. As I prepare for a career in labor and employment law, my research focuses on artificial intelligence, labor rights, and the future of work, with the goal of helping shape legal frameworks that keep pace with technological change.
