about

I'm a Computer Science and Linguistics student at the University of Florida preparing for a career in law. My background is technical: I've built production AI systems in industry and contributed to NLP research on clinical language analysis and linguistic diversity. That work has given me a working understanding of how these systems are actually designed and deployed, and it has convinced me that their hardest questions concern governance, accountability, and who bears the consequences when systems fail.

“Innovation should serve people, not the other way around.”

Those questions pull me most toward labor and employment law. AI is reshaping work faster than the legal frameworks meant to protect workers can adapt, and doctrines written for a different economy are being stretched over technologies their authors never imagined. I'm drawn to that gap: how existing law should extend to automation and AI substitution for human labor, and how institutions can encourage innovation without abandoning the people it displaces. Long-term, I aim to practice at the intersection of technology and labor law.
